Henkel confident for positive full year results

Henkel has posted a provisional sales figure for 2009 of about €13.5bn, a drop of 3.5% over the year earlier. The group's cosmetics and toiletries sector produced sales of just over €3bn and organic sales growth of 3.5%. Operating profits before tax in the cosmetics operation reached €387m.

The group says that for the current year it is confident of outperforming its relevant markets in terms of organic sales growth and expects results to improve noticeably. Final figures for 2009 were to be published at the end of February.
