Hain Celestial increases China focus with joint venture
A joint venture has been announced between US natural and organic company, Hain Celestial and Hutchison China Meditech with a focus on furthering Hain Celestial’s foothold in the Chinese market.
A joint venture has been announced between US natural and organic company, Hain Celestial and Hutchison China Meditech with a focus on furthering Hain Celestial’s foothold in the Chinese market.
Hutchison China Meditech will take over the marketing and distribution of infant and toddler feeding products that have been co-branded under the Earth Best and Zhi Ling Tong brand names, as well as other Hain Celestial brands in China and other markets.
As part of the agreement there will be a newly created entity called Hutchison Hain Organic Holdings Limited, of which both companies will own a 50% stake.
Irwin Simon, president and chief executive of Hain Celestial says, “We have established a strong foundation for our brands in North America and Europe and look to deepen our franchise and widen our reach into China and Asia.”
