Gucci Beauty is rivalling beauty brand favourites with the launch of a 40-strong foundation line.
From fair for pink undertones to a deep dark tone for neutral palettes, the new Fluide De Beauté Fini Naturel range (€58 each) is said to offer a colour to match every skin tone.
Designed to blur blemishes and reduce the appearance of pores, the lightweight formula is described as being ‘buildable and longer-wearing’, and achieves a natural, smooth finish.
Gucci recommends applying the product with the fingertips to achieve ‘second skin-like effect’.
The brand, lead by Alessandro Michele, is following in the footsteps of a host of other beauty names that have introduced extensive foundation lines in a bid to diversify beauty’s offerings.
Fenty Beauty, Lush, Uoma Beauty and Morphe have all launched a wide selection of foundation shades for consumers.
Launching alongside the foundation is Gucci Beauty’s new Sérum De Beauté Fluide Soyeux (€49), a primer-in-serum with blurring properties.
Said to glide onto skin, the product is designed to ensure optimal foundation coverage and long-wear.
The serum also helps to even out skin tone and plump the skin, while creating a soft glow effect.
“Make-up can be used to construct the identity we wish to project, yet this does not mean it has to change what is already there; it should be about enhancing individuality, not concealing it,” said Michele.
“This idea is cultivated carefully through the tools we choose to use, as much as by the ones we choose not to.”
