Givaudan sales are solid in 2008

Swiss flavours and fragrances company Givaudan today released its full-year results for 2008 reporting sales of CHF4087m, a growth of 6.7% in local currencies and a decrease of 1.1% in CHF. The company’s fragrance division posted a 7.9% sales increase in local currencies (a dip of 0.1% in CHF) to CHF1898m, while the flavour division made CHF2189m, an increase of 5.8% in local currencies and a decrease of 2% in CHF.

Givaudan is confident that it will continue to outgrow the underlying market and plans to focus further attention on increasing its share in developing countries.
