Producer of aromas and perfumes Givaudan has invested $62m in a new centre devoted to the creation of perfumes for US market consumer products in East Hanover, New Jersey. Givaudan said the centre would enable its clients to become directly or indirectly involved in the design of perfumes for innovative consumer products. The group has reported sales up 9.8% in the first nine months (April-Dec 2008) to €2bn.
