During the Cosmopack 2025 exhibition in Bologna, GEKA has discovered several copies of its very successful flocked applicator product -the GentleLips applicator-, an applicator having a rounded base followed by a curved waist in the middle and a flattened rounded tip (shown below), which is protected by the European Registered Design EU0007496840002S.
The companies DONG LIM ENTERPRISE LTD of Korea and GUANGDONG HUASHENG PLASTIC CO., LTD of China [“Alleged Infringers”] displayed copies of Geka’s GentleLips applicator at their booths during the tradeshow and offered to sell and deliver these copies to the European Union.
The copies and the offers for sale were reported to the official anti-counterfeiting service of the Cosmopack 2025 exhibition, represented by the Italian IP firm Modiano & Partners in cooperation with the Italian law firm Corona Law.
The official anti-counterfeiting service representatives saw the allegedly infringing applicators displayed in the booths of the Alleged Infringers. Since those applicators appeared to infringe GEKA’s registered design, the official anti-counterfeiting service representatives suggested, for the sake of precaution, that the Alleged Infringers remove the contested products from their shelves. The Alleged Infringers voluntarily complied with the suggestion.
The following day, the official anti-counterfeiting service representatives visited the booths of the Alleged Infringers again and confirmed that the disputed products were no longer displayed. No countermeasures have been raised by the Alleged Infringers.
GEKA's attention is now directed to further enforcing this registered design against other infringers.

In the interests of its customers, GEKA will continue to take legal steps against all such copies.
