Fully flexible wrapping from Marden Edwards
The new machine offers a large pack capacity, ranging from 40x40x25mm to 300x200x100mm, and according to Marden Edwards size changes can be made in under ten minutes without the need to change parts.
The Semi-Auto is said to be ideal for companies with a wide variety of pack sizes and carton shapes and who require small batch runs and a high frequency of changeover. Film length requirement is handled by an inverter drive and can be digitally adjusted to aid with easy rapid changeover and set-up, according to the company.
The wrapping cycle is initiated via the operator foot pedal, while the guillotine action that cuts the film is based on Marden Edwards’ automatic range.
The operator can then make the lateral seal manually before depositing the pack into the folding dock to be tucked and folded.
