The French athlete will be the face of the brand’s Gentleman Givenchy line of men’s fragrances

Givenchy Parfums has unveiled Formula 1 driver Pierre Gasly as ambassador for its Gentleman Givenchy line of men’s fragrances.

Gasly became the youngest Frenchman to take a Formula 1 podium at the 2019 Brazilian Grand Prix and won his first victory in Monza, during the Italian Grand Prix in 2020.

Commenting on the appointment, Givenchy Parfums CEO Romain Spitzer said: “Pierre Gasly is a major athlete who is as talented as he is inspiring.

“His striving for excellence, visionary approach, energy and natural elegance all perfectly capture the Gentleman Givenchy universe.

“We are delighted that he is joining us as ambassador and look forward to his embodiment of the new Gentleman Society fragrance, set to be released this year.”

Gasly added that he is “thrilled” to be the new ambassador for Givenchy’s line of men’s fragrances.

“I am very honoured to partner with this prestigious house and become part of Givenchy’s Gentleman Society,” said Gasly.

“We share the same core values of boldness, respect and commitment.”

The 29-year-old began competing at an early age, beginning with kart-racing before moving to single-seaters.

He made his Formula 1 debut in 2017 at the World Championship during that year’s Malaysian Grand Prix.

Gasly’s onboarding follows the October 2024 announcement of a ten-year global partnership between Givenchy’s parent company LVMH and Formula 1.

And Givenchy and LVMH are far from the only beauty players tapping into the appeal of motor sports.

British skin care brand Elemis was recently named the first-ever skin care partner of the Aston Martin Aramco Formula 1 team

And Puig-owned make-up brand Charlotte Tilbury made a deal with the F1 Academy last year to encourage increased female involvement in motorsport.

Givenchy launched its original Gentleman Society fragrance in 2023, with singer-songwriter Benjamin Clementine as the franchise’s face.
