The agreement, which will come into effect on 1 May 2007, will cover the United States and will see Selective take control of national distribution for all Ferragamo and Ungaro fragrances.

“The four year relationship with Gary Fran has been characterised by reciprocal trust and common vision which has allowed Salvatore Ferragamo and Emanuel Ungaro fragrances to be well represented on the US national market,” comments Ferragamo Parfums managing dirtector, Luciano Bertinelli. “Now the time has come to make a change for further and more aggressive development plans to strongly increase our retail presence in this key market.”

In an interview with ECM, Betinelli revealed that Ferragamo has achieved very good results in the States, and the region is key to the company's double digit growth, along with Asia.

The company is set to launch a men's version of the F by Ferragamo fragrance in September, followed by a completely new Ungaro fragrance line, aimed at younger women.
