Skinny Tan is rebranding to Skin and Tan in 2025 to bring the perception of the ‘natural’ tanning business up to a more modern standard.

The brand was co-founded in 2012 by Louise Ferguson and Kate Cotton after the pair successfully pitched their business idea on BBC One’s Dragon’s Den TV show.

The £60,000 investment from panellists Kelly Hoppen and Piers Linney helped to propel the business’ early days in beauty.

It was later acquired by InnovaDerma in 2015.

But the move to rebrand has been “a long time coming”, said Anna Palmgren-Houel, Marketing Director at Brand Architekts, the current owner after Brand Architekts merged with InnovaDerma in 2022.
