ECHA highlights widespread use of consultants in REACH registrations
40% of companies prepared dossiers with consultants
A report on successful registrations within the EU’s chemical control system REACH has highlighted the widespread use of consultants to help companies negotiate its administrative procedures.
The study was drafted by the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) based on survey responses from almost 900 companies. It concluded: “40% of companies prepared their dossiers with the support of consultants”. The reasons: “limited capacity within the company or the desire to minimise the administrative burden within the company.”
