Dragon Plastics purchases Riverside Plastics

Closure manufacturer Dragon Plastics Ltd has acquired the business undertaking, goodwill and assets of Riverside Plastics Ltd from the administrator. The purchase of the company is aimed at Dragon's plan to move back into both the bottle making and capping industry. Both businesses are located in South Wales and will be owned by Dragon's associate company, Gwalia Plastics Ltd. Plans for a new Dragon site with updated equipment are said to be in discussion.

“They will be able to rely upon a financially secure bottle supplier with enhanced design and development capabilities and up to the minute closure technology from Riverside Packaging's sister company, Dragon Plastics,” said Rod Parker, managing director of Dragon Plastics.
