The 23-year-old Paris St-Germain (PSG) striker will join actor Johnny Depp as the face of its best-selling fragrance pillar Sauvage.
He will also be the face of Dior's men's collection developed by Kim Jones, the company's Artistic Director.
The French make-up and fashion house officially welcomed the footballer with a post on its Instagram saying: “@Dior is pleased to announce world champion footballer @K.Mbappe as new ambassador for men’s fashion by @MrKimJones and the @DiorBeauty Sauvage fragrance.”
Meanwhile Mbappé announced the collaboration to his 64 million Instagram followers: “I am delighted to announce that I am now officially part of Maison Dior. Can’t wait to share our collaborations in men’s fashion and Sauvage fragrance,"
The announcement comes after Dior was named as the official uniform sponsor of the PSG team in September of last year.
In January last year, Mbappé launched a non-profit association, Inspired by KM, which aims to motivate children to achieve their life goals basided on based on four fundamental values: Learn, understand, share, pass on.
He also sponsors the Premiers de Cordée association, which gives hospitalised children a chance to discover and experience sports.
Mbappé joins Anya Taylor-Joy, Charlize Theron and Natalie Portman, who have all fronted campaigns across Dior’s make-up and fragrance categories.
In 2019, the award-winning footballer was named as the global face of Japanese male grooming brand Bulk Homme.
