David Beckham has announced a long-term partnership with luxury men’s skin care brand Biotherm Homme. The brand will work with the sports star on a new collection of skin care and grooming products expected to launch in 2017.
Beckham is also scheduled to appear in adverts as Biothem Homme’s first ever global ambassador. In June, Beckham will appear in online adverts for the brand’s best-selling moisturiser Aquapower.
David Fridlevski, General Manager at Biotherm, said: “The partnership between Biotherm Homme and David Beckham is set to shift the boundaries in the men’s skincare category and reinforce our brand’s leadership. It’s the first time a male celebrity of this stature has developed a skin care collection. We’re proud to be David Beckham’s partner of choice to develop his vision of skin care, and we’re delighted to welcome him as a new brand ambassador.”
Beckham added: “I’m excited to be working with Biotherm Homme. I’ve been thinking about developing a skin care range for a long time and it wasn’t until I started speaking with Biotherm that it all came together. They are as ambitious as I am, and we look forward to showing everyone the fruits of our labour very soon.”
The partnership is expected to last several years and aims to have a significant impact on male attitudes towards skin care. Beckham was previously a professional footballer and has been an ambassador for UNICEF since 2005.
