The winners of the first-ever Cosmetics Business Innovation Awards (CBIAs) have been revealed, celebrating the outstanding developments and achievements of companies across the global cosmetics and personal care supply chain.
The B2B-focused awards programme spotlights the very best in ingredients, packaging, contract manufacturing, technology, testing, regulatory and compliance.
In the competitive Best Functional Ingredient Innovation category, CPL Aromas stood out with an innovative, water-based alternative to fine fragrance that has long relied on ethanol.
AromaHydro secured the award thanks to its potential to address several common fragrance challenges, including flammability risks, VOC limits and transport restrictions.
The judge was particularly impressed by the innovation's evolved and commercially-savvy approach to fragrance delivery, noting its ability to simplify cross-border transport and storage compared with traditional alcohol-based technologies.
She also highlighted AromaHydro's sustainability credentials and its potential for cost efficiency.
