CPL Aromas has marked the inauguration of Granja Don Bosco Circular at the Institución Educativa Departamental San Juan Bosco in Suesca, Colombia. Developed with Fundación Red ConcienciaSocial and support from the Government of Cundinamarca and Municipality of Suesca, the project has transformed the school’s agricultural farm into a space for practical environmental education.
More than 400 students use the farm each week, with learning focused on areas including renewable energy, water management, biodiversity, waste management, circular economy and sustainable rural production.
The development incorporates more than 20 tonnes of recycled plastic within its walls, while its photovoltaic system is designed to supply approximately 77% of the campus’s energy consumption. An artificial wetland can also treat up to 6 m³ of wastewater per day, allowing water to be reused for irrigation and agroecological activities.
The school was officially inaugurated on 22 October 2026, with students, project partners and representatives from the local community taking part.
Germán Ronderos, General Manager of CPL Aromas, said:
We believe that sustainability is built in the territory. This farm is our way of planting a future with the young people of Colombia.
