COSMOS approval given to 50 BASF products
Move will give customers improved choice
Chemical company BASF’s business unit Personal Care Europe has announced that 50 of its products have now been evaluated and approved for compliance with the COSMOS standard. These products were already accredited by Ecocert and/or BDIH.
This news means that BASF has now become one of the first raw materials suppliers to offer a wide range of products in line with new Europe-wide COSMOS guidelines and criteria.
BASF’s European marketing managers, Ute Griesbach and Stephane Lacouteriére, comment: “We are very excited to have so many products approved for compliance with the new cosmetics standard. This means that when formulating organic and natural cosmetics according to the COSMOS standard, our customers can choose from a considerable range of recognised and approved products.
“We also plan to obtain certification for more products in the future, further expanding this choice.”
