Consumer Care business growth boosts Croda revenues

Sales increase 5.1% in Q3 2011


For the three months ended 30 September 2011, Croda International Plc reported sales from continuing operations totalling £265.6m, a 5.1% increase on the same period of 2010. Operating profit from continuing operations increased 18.3% to £57.6m, while falling interest costs resulted in pre-tax profit rising 20.8% to reach £57.4m.

“I am pleased to report good turnover and profit progress in the third quarter, driven by sales growth and margin improvement in our core businesses,” commented Martin Flower, Croda chairman on trading for the quarter.

The company’s Consumer Care business continued to trade strongly, with a 13.6% increase in sales and a 30.8% in operating profit versus the corresponding 2010 quarter.

Croda expects to report further progress in the final quarter and into 2012.
