Fiancée of footballer Wayne Rooney, Coleen McLoughlin has launched her signature fragrance in partnership with Fragrance & Beauty Ltd.
At the launch yesterday, her perfume, created by Robertet, was unveiled - the first in a line of cosmetics produced over the next five to 10 years.
The new scent opens with a top note of orange, lily of the valley and rose wrapped in a marine accord. At the base are notes of musk, patchouli, amber and cedar wood. The scent is based on what McLoughlin wants and likes and she finds the fragrance appropriate for all ages, not just young women.
“I think it appeals to everyone. I wanted to keep it fresh and out there,” she said.
The customer's trust is important to McLoughlin and she claims to have been instrumental throughout the fragrance creation process. She wanted to create a product that is both high quality and affordable.
“Today my dream has come true,” she said.
The bottle features lilac glass embossed with her signature. The glass has a heavy feel to enhance the luxury of the product.
The fragrance will be available exclusively at Selfridges in August and Boots in September and will be sold both at high street and top end designer stores, a first for a mass market fragrance. The price is £19.95. Additional coffret sets containing the scent and a body lotion will be available later in the year.
