Clinique pitches topical performance against lasers
Described as a de-ageing serum, the product contains a blend of three patented repair enzymes encapsulated in a liposome delivery system. Micrococcus luteus (Ultrasomes V) works best at night to intensify the skin’s ability to visibly repair UVB damage; photolyase fermentate (Photosomes V) absorbs visible light to promote natural cellular repair, working during the day to improve the appearance of sun damaged skin over time; and OGG-1 fermentate (Roxisomes) protects cells from oxidative damage caused by UV and intrinsic ageing.
Meanwhile wrinkle reducing polypeptide technology - comprising whey protein, retinyl palmitate and acetyl hexapeptide-8 - is said to boost natural collagen production and help maintain existing natural collagen. Free radical protection is provided by vitamins C and E, ergothioneine and Punica grantum (pomegranate).
