Porsche Design, in collaboration with Clarins, has unveiled its first fragrance: The Essence. Said to capture qualities like timelessness, purity and clarity, The Essence’s intense ‘Arctical’ top note, specially created by Anne Flipo and Bruno Jovanovic, is tempered by soothing accords of myrtle and juniper. Middle notes of black pepper, Russian coriander and Siberian pine lead to a warm base of patchouli and pine balm.
In keeping with the company’s ethos of ‘engineered luxury’ the bottle boasts a façade of frosted, ice blue glass surrounded by a black brushed-aluminium frame. According to Porsche Design, the packaging includes nothing superfluous: no drawings, no decoration, and no cap to remove. In addition, its base is fitted with utilitarian plastic stops to prevent the bottle clunking on bathroom surfaces.
The Essence edt is available in 50ml and 80ml sizes and is accompanied by a range including after-shave lotion, hair and body shampoo, and spray and stick deodorants.
