Clara Amfo, the Radio 1 DJ, has stepped down from being an ambassador and model for L’Oréal Paris’ True Match campaign.

After fellow campaign model Munroe Bergdorf was fired by L’Oréal for writing a Facebook post on systematic racism, Amfo, 33, has asked for her pictures to be removed from the campaign, according to Metro.

Bergdorf, 29, was sacked by the cosmetics company after posting the message in the wake of the Charlottesville, Virginia, protests.

In the post, which Bergdorf says was taken out of context, she wrote: “Honestly I don’t have energy to talk about the racial violence of white people any more. Yes ALL white people.”

L’Oréal said this conflicted with its ethos on diversity and representation, stating: “We believe that the recent comments by Munroe Bergdorf are at odds with those values, and as such we have taken the decision to end the partnership with her.”
