CEW (UK) honours 2008 achievers

CEW (UK) announced the winners of its 2008 Achievers Awards at a glittering industry event this week.


CEW (UK) announced the winners of its 2008 Achievers Awards at a glittering industry event this week.

Spanish designer Caroline Herrera was awarded this year’s Lifetime Achiever Award, while Maria Hatzistefanis, founder of niche beauty brand Rodial was honoured with the Members’ Achiever Award, which CEW (UK) members had voted for.

Runners up in this category included The Sanctuary Spa ceo, Alice Avis; Fiona Parkhouse, md Amie; and Danièle Ryman, chairman, Danièle Ryman Aromacology.

Neal’s Yard founder, Romy Fraser; Noella Gabriel, Director of Treatment & Development at Elemis; Newby Hands, Editor/Health & Beauty Director, Harpers Bazaar; and Hilary Dart, md, Hilary Dart Associates were all winners of Achievers Awards.

Finally Per Neuman, md of Estée Lauder Companies’ UK and Ireland operations was honoured with the Special Industry Award for his contribution to the beauty industry.

“Recognition is a key part of CEW’s mandate,” said Caroline Neville, president CEW (UK). “We have honoured some talented people. These are people who are creating a legacy for our industry and are role models for our members.”
