Brussels admits framing nano-law will be tough

Lack of scientific definition and differing opinions still a hurdle


The planned attempt this year by the European Commission to table a nanotechnology regulation will be tough, senior official Henrik Laursen told an EU ‘nano’ conference in Brussels. He said 200 detailed notes from a public consultation showed "at a certain level many stakeholders are saying different things, and there is no absolute scientific definition".
