Boots' parent company to launch IPO
Private equity group Kohlberg Kravis Roberts (KKR), the parent company of UK retailer Boots has announced it will go public on the New York stock exchange later this year.
Private equity group Kohlberg Kravis Roberts (KKR), the parent company of UK retailer Boots has announced it will go public on the New York stock exchange later this year.
The transaction will involve buying its Amsterdam listed investment fund and then listing the new company in New York. The company will not be selling shares directly to the public but will be able to sell to shareholders, providing more options for raising funds in the future.
The New York listing is expected to be valued at between $12bn and $15bn. Shares in KKR jumped 27% during morning trading to a three month high.
