Beiersdorf joins forces with bubbles & beyond

Consumer goods giant Beiersdorf has entered into a partnership with a Leipzig-based start-up company, bubbles & beyond, to develop cleansers for the skin and hair. Specialising in liquids, emulsions and foams, bubbles & beyond supplies substances that are said to function like a liquid sponge to enable the cleansing of sensitive surfaces. The partnership has already led to the development of a solvent free nail polish remover.

Beiersdorf’s head of research, Dr Klaus-Peter Wittern, believes the partnership will enable the development of progressive products to address consumer needs.

Meanwhile, bubbles & beyond will benefit from a foothold in the consumer goods market. Managing director Dr Rainer Surkow comments: “The collaboration allows us to extend our expertise to consumer goods – an area where we can benefit from Beiersdorf’s outstanding track record.”
