American fashion label St. John Knits has added Bernd Beetz to its Board of Directors as Chairman of the Board, effective immediately. Beetz replaces Ralph Toledano, who left last year to join Puig as President of its fashion division.
Beetz is making a transition into fashion after serving as CEO of Coty from 2001 to 2012. Previously, he served as President and CEO of Parfums Christian Dior (LVMH) France and held various management positions during his 20 year career at Procter & Gamble.
“Bernd is a seasoned organisation builder and brings an extraordinary level of leadership to the company,” said Jim Kelley, a founding partner of majority shareholder Vestar Capital Partners, the US private equity firm which owns St. John Knits.
