Beauty sector benefits from an increase in international spending by Chinese consumers

Chinese travellers are increasing their spending on beauty products when overseas, according to research by distribution sector analysis company Coresight Research, which also noted that spending trends are being driven by Millennials. 

In the 12 months to June 2018, of the 895 Chinese travellers aged 18-59 who were questioned by Coresight, almost three-quarters had purchased beauty products. “Beauty was neck-a-neck with apparel as the most-bought retail category in this year’s survey,” said Coresight.
