Trestique, a colour cosmetics brand that specialises in beauty skus for on-the-go, has reimagined its product packaging with refillable designs.
From highlighters to eyebrow pencils and lip balms, every product pack is now said to be endlessly reusable.
The packs boast 86% recycled materials and are 100% recyclable thanks to the brand’s partnership with Pact, a US based company that processes hard-to-recycle beauty skus.
The decision to update its packaging was supported by the brand’s new partner, Carbonfund.org Foundation, as it worked to reduce its carbon footprint.
By supporting the not-for-profit’s projects, the brand will be able to reduce its carbon footprint, including outputs from its shipping and product development.
“We wanted to approach the sustainability of our collection with a 360º view,” said Jenn Kapahi, Trestique’s co-CEO and founder.
“It was important to us not only to formulate ‘clean’ with sustainable practices and packaging but also to have carbon neutral products.
“We are so proud to partner with carbonfund.org and transform our brand into a truly sustainable and endlessly refillable line without compromising on beauty and performance.”
Speaking about the new venture, carbonfund.org’s President Eric Carlson, added: “We are thrilled to be working with Trestique on this partnership to go carbon neutral.
“Reducing the waste generated from single-use plastics by creating a refillable packaging is a great idea.
“Trestique offsetting the carbon footprint and shipping emission from their beauty products is taking an important step toward a more sustainable future for us all.”
