In October, French couture label Balmain will launch the women’s fragrance Balmain Extatic Intense Gold, a flanker to Extatic (2013).
It has a head note of jasmine; heart notes of vanilla blossom and heliotrope; and base notes of labdanum and amber.
The Egyptian-look bottle was inspired by a cuff worn by model Anna Selezneva in the original Extatic ad campaign. It is the same shape as the original but comes in black glass with a tooled gold band around the centre and a gold and black cap.
“Nothing is more emblematic of Balmain than the marriage of black and gold - a black that is both sexy and chic,” said Olivier Rousteing, the firm’s creative director.
Balmain Extatic Intense Gold comes as a 90ml EdP for £70.
