French luxury fashion house Balmain has launched its first-ever beauty products.

Les Éternels de Balmain is a collection of eight gender-neutral fragrances under the house's new beauty arm created by Estée Lauder Companies (ELC).

The perfume range's direction was led by Balmain’s Creative Director Olivier Rousteing (pictured) and inspired by founder Pierre Balmain’s Parisian roots.

Rousteing is a French fashion designer and has served as the creative lead of Balmain since 2011.

“Balmain Beauty gives you the freedom to live your truth, free and powerful,” said Rousteing.

“Beauty is about being yourself and having the confidence to embrace who you are.

“I want to represent all the beauties of the world and welcome everyone without exceptions.”

The eight fragrances are housed under four scent families: musk, amber, floral and wood.

Vent Vert is a floral green fragrance with notes of vert de mandarine and jasmine, while Bronze focuses on cedarwood that has been paired with patchouli.

Carbonne, Rouge, Ivoire, Ébène, Bleu Infini and Sel d'Ambre round off the list of perfumes which are available via balmainbeauty.com and priced at US$300.

“Balmain Beauty is forging a new, avant-garde space in luxury beauty that celebrates the legacy and inclusive spirit of the iconic house of Balmain,” said Guillaume Jesel, President of Global Brands at ELC, who oversees Balmain Beauty. as the President and CEO.

“Olivier Rousteing is one of the most accomplished designers of his generation, inventing revolutionary concepts at the confluence of past, present, and future.”

ELC inked a deal with Balmain to create a beauty range for the luxury fashion house in 2022.

The American brand owner said its goal with the partnership was to “transform the luxury and couture beauty world”.

Nathalie Berger Duquene was named as the SVP and Global General Manager for Balmain Beauty in October 2022.

Hans Dorsinville joined as SVP of Creative in January 2024.

The beauty licence is similar to ELC's previous work with US luxury fashion brand Tom Ford and its cosmetics and fragrance ranges.

Balmain was founded in 1945 by Pierre Balmain and operates stores in New York City, London, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Miami and in Milan.
