Ileos subsidiary Axilone is reinforcing its industrial capacity with the construction of a new factory in Spain (part of Axilone Metal), which specialises in metal pressing and anodising, as well as an additional production line at its Guidel factory in Brittany, France – part of the company's Axilone Plastique business.
Construction on the €13m Spanish factory, based 80km north of Barcelona in Sant Pere de Torelló, began in June 2013 and it is expected to be fully operational during the third quarter of 2014. The project will include a 9,000sqm production facility plus 2,000sqm of office space. According to Axilone, it will significantly improve productivity and output.
The new line at Axilone's Brittany based Factory will be operational from the beginning of 2014 and will be dedicated to lacquering and metal-plating, which the company describes as a strategic new skill that is being integrated into this subsidiary of the Ileos group. The €3m investment develops Axilone's ability to decorate products, thereby improving and enhancing the services it can provide to its customers.
