New from Aveda is Aveda Botanical Kinetics, a facial skin care line said to harness the vital energy of plants, comprising three skus: Intense Hydrating Soft Creme (£40), Intense Hydrating Rich Creme (£40) and Energizing Eye Cream (£35). All products in the range contain Salicornia herbacea, a seashore plant that has been shown to stimulate skin cells' natural water channels (aquaporins) to help skin absorb moisture, and certified organic cupuaçu butter, which helps to seal the skin's barrier and prevent moisture loss.
The Soft Creme has a smooth, creamy texture for all-day moisture, while the Rich Creme has a luxurious texture and is suitable for dry to very dry skin. Both contain a fresh floral aroma comprising organic rose, geranium, oilibanum, sandalwood and neroli plant essences.
The Eye Cream, meanwhile, is formulated with licorice root, known for its soothing properties, and caffeine to reduce puffiness, as well as cupuaçu butter for moisture.
