French packaging manufacturer Arcade Beauty has expanded its Socoplan site to better deliver cosmetics samples to its customers, as it celebrates its 50th anniversary.
Located in the Saint-Jean-de-Thouars commune in western France, the Socoplan site produces skin care and make-up samples dedicated to the Arcade group's own product types, employing 250 people with a turnover of around (e)450m, according to the company.
Now, the space has been expanded with a new 4000sqm storage warehouse connected to the factory, which is said to optimise the supply chain as well as guaranteeing product safety and reducing the factory's carbon impact, thanks to removing the need for inter-site transport.
The updated space also features a secure sampling area, allowing employees at the integrated laboratory to test bulk orders in real time for more efficient delivery of finished products to customers.
The Socoplan factory expansion follows a flurry of activity for Arcade Beauty in the cosmetics sachets area ; this year has seen the company unveil its own branded 3D stand-up pouch, available in recycled material, as well as creating custom sampling solutions for Givenchy's Prisme Libre powder and L'Oréal Paris' eco-refill pouches for its shampoo range.
