AkzoNobel to expand surfactants production

$20m for plants in Brazil and US


AkzoNobel is to invest $20m in its plants in Itupeva, Sao Paulo and Morris, Illinois over the next two years. The investment in the sites in Brazil and the US will expand production capacity for fatty amine derivatives, which are used in a number of industries including personal care.

“We are committed to support our strategic customers in the Americas by constantly improving our manufacturing sites and as a result of our unparalleled innovation efforts, enabling them to develop and produce new products,” commented Bob Margevich, md AkzoNobel Surface Chemistry business unit.
