AKT London secures $10 million to fuel US retail partnerships strategy

The British natural deodorant and body care brand will use the investment to help it launch into three big retailers after its US sales have soared this year

AKT London has raised US$10m to accelerate its US expansion plans and develop new products which will transform the business into a performance-led personal care brand.

The investment will be used to grow the British natural deodorant balm and body care brand’s presence in the states, enhancing its physical retail expansion strategy.

AKT London, founded by theatre actors Ed Currie and Andy Coxon, broke into America in February 2024, with US sales now making up a third of the business.

The company has also crossed the $10m run-rate revenue and expects to continue its current run of three times year-on-year growth.

“In the US we are now really retail and partnerships-focused – we want to be showing up in the places that our consumers are, and it is really important that these are the right places,” Coxon told Cosmetics Business.
