A mineral matter for Crodarom

Published: 22-Aug-2010

Sepiolite, also known as seafoam or Venus of the seas, is a magnesium hydrogen silicate neoformed in continental or peri-marine lagoonal systems, which can often be found in the Black Sea, resembling floating foam.

Crodarom, a Croda International company, has utilised sepiolite for its latest ingredient, Crodarom Seafoam. According to Crodarom, the product is both absorbent and remineralising. Its ability to absorb water and oil make it ideal for use in deodorant and mattifying applications, while trace elements such as magnesium and silicon help reduce skin stress and increase the structure and elasticity of skin and hair respectively.

Crodarom says its seafoam product is in line with the mineral trend and is perfectly suited for use in natural make-up ranges. Suggested applications include colour illuminating products.
