New from bulk solids handling specialist Flexicon (Europe) Ltd is a manual dump to rigid bin weigh batching system.

The system’s purpose is to eradicate the dust produced by manual dumping from bags, boxes, drums and other containers. Additionally, it removes lumps from the material and feeds it gravimetrically from the mezzanine level into rigid bins on a floor scale.

The manual dumping station contains a high velocity vacuum fan that picks up airborne dust. And automatic reverse-pulse filter cleaning permits continuous operation while timer activated valves release short blasts of compressed plant air, causing dust to fall into the hopper. The hopper releases the dust into a de-lumping device with dual rotors and three-point heads, and on-size material is released into a gravimetric feeder connected to the plant floor. This helps to record accurate batch weights.

All material surfaces of the manual dumping station, de-lumping device and gravimetric feeder are stainless steel.
