Victoria Beckham Beauty has made a duo of senior appointments to its executive team, as the brand prepares to expand its business operations.
The ‘clean’ beauty business said it is ready to start the “second chapter” in its life, with a focus on growing globally and the release of a series of yet to be announced innovations.
To facilitate this expansion, Katia Beauchamp, the co-founder of monthly beauty subscription service Birchbox, has been brought on as the brand’s Chief Executive Officer effective immediately.
Beauchamp announced her departure from Birchbox following the company’s acquisition by women’s health start-up FemTec Health in November 2021.
The heavily backed, Texas-based firm, which is thought to be valued at around US$380m itself, laid down more than $45m for the beauty box brand, according to Forbes.
Beauchamp sold her remaining interest in the company she helped found, but remains as a strategic advisor for Birchbox.
“Since the launch of Victoria Beckham Beauty, I have admired the brand aesthetic, performance and mission, as well as its impressive growth trajectory,” said Beauchamp.
“Consumers see the integrity in the products, and they voice their enthusiasm. I couldn’t be more excited to build on such a solid foundation.
“It is a privilege to join Victoria on this exciting journey and to work alongside Nance to take this business to the next level.”
Nance Hastings will also join as President of Victoria Beckham Beauty in November 2022.
Hasting spent 25 years with Estée Lauder Companies managing the beauty giant’s brand portfolio, and her most recent role was President at clean beauty brand Alpyn.
“I’m thrilled to have Katia and Nance join me to help strategically shape and take the Victoria Beckham Beauty brand to the next level,” said Victoria Beckham, co-founder and Creative Director.
“I am so passionate about our overarching vision for an inclusive, clean beauty brand, and the response and engagement of our community from day one has been phenomenal.”
The namesake brand of Beckman, partner of English footballer David Beckham, was co-founded with beauty industry veteran Sarah Creal in 2019.
Eye colour cosmetics were the initial product range brought out by the brand, and included eye liner, individual eye shadows, and an eye shadow palette.
This was followed by a collection of lip products a few months later, as well as a skin care line which launched in 2020.
“I feel incredibly proud of what has been achieved in the short time since we launched and I genuinely know we are only just getting started.
“Katia and Nance’s expertise, vision and experience are, without doubt, going to be invaluable in helping me grow, shape and continue on this exciting journey.”
