Thymus peptides may be effective in treating certain types of baldness in both men and women, according to new research published in the Journal of Plastic Dermatology.
Almost all the patients tested showed an observable decrease in symptoms without negative side effects, claimed the study.
According to the study, Telogen Effluvium (TE) and Androgenetic Alopecia (AGA) are the main causes of hair loss. The objective of the investigation was therefore to test the effectiveness and cosmetic acceptance of thymus peptides with a low molecular weight (GKL factor) in the first phases of AGA and in TE over six months.
