Ted's double date

Published: 4-Jun-2006

Designer Ted Baker is introducing two new fragrances described as an extraordinary alchemy of the classic and the contemporary - hence the inspiration for the product name: XtraOrdinary. XO for Women was created by leading IFF perfumer Sophie Labbé and opens with notes of sparkling orange blossom which melt into a heart of gardenia, jasmine and tuberose. It is rounded off by green undertones. The warm, sensual dry-down is composed of heliotrope and powdery musks.

IFF's Jean-Charles Niel composed the male fragrance. This features top notes of mandarin, cardamom, cypress and fresh green fougère notes resting on a heart of aromatic woods, red berries, pimento berries, ginger roots and aromatic woods, drying down to a base of pink pepper, Australian sandalwood and white musk.

Both fragrances are bottled in square glass flacons set on a base of hand finished oak, the female fragrance in translucent pink and XO for Men featuring a rich bronze colour. Two coffrets will be added later in the year, comprising a body wash and deodorant spray for men and a shower gel and body lotion for women.
