South Korea exported US$1.05bn worth of cosmetics last year, 26% up on 2012 and about six times more than the $173m exported in 2004, according to the Korea Customs Service. The growth is continuing: cosmetic exports came to $288m during the first quarter of this year, up 24.8% from the same period a year earlier.
