Silab zones in on papillary dermis protection

As a response to new skin care research that found that wrinkles are linked to the deterioration of the papillary dermis, Silab has developed a new ingredient claimed to strengthen the characteristic structure of this zone of the upper dermis.
Papilactyl D is produced from tiger nut, an African plant. It is rich in oligosaccharides and is claimed to increase the deformability, elasticity and strength of the skin by preserving the functionality of the oxytalan microfibril network. In addition, the ingredient stimulates the expression of functional collagens XVI and XII, specific to the papillary dermis, and normalises the expression of matrix collagens I and VI, says Silab.
