Schwan Stabilo breaks half a billion euro turnover mark in 2011/12

Cosmetics segment sees rise of 10% to €264m


The Schwan Stabilo Group has exceeded a turnover threshold of half a billion euros for the first time, after increasing by 9% on last year to a total of €503m.

The cosmetics division showed particularly strong development rising by 10% to €264m, with notable growth in Latin America and Asia. Furthermore, in the past year Schwan Stabilo’s investments totalled €45m with a significant portion of this figure invested in construction; the group’s cosmetics manufacturing division in Mexico is currently being expanded through a new factory in Toluca.

Group managing directors Ulrich Griebel and Sebastian Schwanhäußer said: “Naturally, we are carefully observing the uncertain global economic situation and, with three completely different sectors, we certainly have plenty with which to occupy ourselves. Nonetheless, as a family-owned company, we feel well equipped for the task ahead, and continue to trust in our competence in dealing with crises, markets and brands.”
