Rockwell Solutions has developed a new environmentally friendly peelable lid for rigid PLA containers, trays and blister packs.


Rockwell Solutions has developed a new environmentally friendly peelable lid for rigid PLA containers, trays and blister packs.

The BioPeel lid is made from 100% PLA film said to be heat sealable and then peelable from PLA containers.

The clear lid has low sealing parameters, according to Rockwell, which prevents distorting during sealing. The consumer can then fully compost the pack when finished as the PLA is made from a material derived from corn starch, which is biodegradable.
