Revolution Beauty sees shoots of turnaround success in full-year 2026 results

The embattled make-up business saw signs of recovery in the second half of the financial year, amid a turnaround strategy being driven by the return of its co-founders Adam Minto and Tom Allsworth

Revolution Beauty has posted signs of recovery in its 2026 full-year results, amid a turnaround strategy spurred by the return of co-founders Adam Minto and Tom Allsworth.

Sales declined to £102.1m during the year, along with an adjusted EBITDA loss of £8.2m for the year ended 28 February 2026.

Gross profit declined 31% to £37.7m in 2026, compared with the same period last year.

Despite this, performance saw a marked improvement in the second half of the year, where the company recorded adjusted EBITDA of £4.3m.

It follows Revolution Beauty ending its formal sales process, announcing job cuts and appointing its departedco-founders to helm the embattled business last year.

Tom Allsworth took up the position of CEO, while Minto – who launched a new beauty venture with Gen Z-focused make-up brand Trouble Maker – returned to the business in a consultancy role.

According to Revolution Beauty, direct to consumer business has seen significant year-on-year growth of 26%, driven by TikTok Shop.

The improved business performance also reflects the benefits of actions taken on costs, rationalisation, rebuilding of product ranges, sku reductions and stronger product execution.

Tighter inventory management and the early benefits of the refreshed innovation and marketing strategy are also said to have benefited the fast make-up business.

Allsworth, Group CEO, said: "The second half of FY26 was a pivotal period for the business, and we are pleased to report a return to profitability, generating an EBITDA of £4.3m or 7.8% of sales, compared with a £12.5m EBITDA loss in the first half of the year.

“We have delivered against our initial priorities and taken decisive steps to restore operational stability, simplify the cost base, improve execution and rebuild confidence with our partners and stakeholders.

“As we promised, Revolution Beauty has returned to what it does best – delivering innovation, creativity and affordable products to our customers around the world.

“We have made a solid start, and I am excited by the opportunity in front of us.”

Looking ahead, Revolution Beauty said in a company statement that it has the potential for “considerable scale”, as well as “attractive long-term growth”.

The Revolution Beauty statement continued: “We continue to target a return to growth, profitability and cash generation over the full financial year.”
