Revlon has announced that singer Sheryl Crow will be the face of Revlon's new premium hair colourants range, Revlon Colorist, which is set to launch in January 2007. Crow will appear in a multi-media campaign including television, print, online and pop placements.
"We are thrilled to have Sheryl Crow represent Revlon Colorist," sayd Deborah Dowd, vice president, marketing for Revlon's hair care business. "Sheryl is an empowering woman who brings a sense of real glamour that is relateable."
Crow's support will come as a welcome respite for the company from the less than thrilling performance of its stock. At Friday's close the company's shares were down 7.4% on the NYSE, to $1.51 – down 47% from the beginning of the year.
