QMS Medicosmetics has introduced a new serum to help tackle the effects of pollution.
The cosmetics brand, founded by Dr Erich Schulte, was inspired by epigenetic science, the study of heritable changes in gene expression, in order to create the product.
The EpiGen Daily-Detox Serum uses epigenetic-peptide at the centre of its formula, which works in a similar way to royal jelly protein, helping to regenerate the epidermis.
Commenting on the launch Schulte said: “EpiGen Daily Detox Serum represents a new era in skin care development.
“In developing its formulation we looked to the science of epigeneticsm as this physiological reprogramming process offers the ability to beneficially direct and modify the gene expression without altering the DNA sequence.”
He continued: “The advances this techniques allows us is to deliver greater accuracy and efficacy in both caring for and repairing the skin.
“The highly innovative active ingredient EpiGen Daily-Detox Serum helps to deactivate the negative chemical markings that are having a detrimental impact on the skin whilst accelerating epidermal regeneration, activating the cellular cleaning process and delaying skin ageing.”
The serum’s key ingredients include pcw-skin relaxing extract from Swiss stone pine, which reduces redness and age spots.
Meanwhile, the matrikine complex and gci-peptide helps to repair skin and maintain genomic integrity.
The product is available online at qmsmedicosmetics.com and in Liberty Beauty Hall, London, UK.
