Primark has launched its first-ever vegan registered skin care range.
The Irish retailer broke into beauty in 2009 with a range of own-brand colour cosmetics.
Since then, it has teamed up with businesswoman and former Glamour Beauty Director Alessandra Steinherr on an affordable skin care range and extended its line-up to include fragrance, accessories and hair care.
Its new PS… Naturals is registered by The Vegan Society and includes five skus, which are said to contain at least 90% ingredients from natural origin.
The range includes an Overnight Sleep Mask, Balm to Oil Cleanser, Gentle Face Wash, Daily Moisturiser and Cleansing Wipes, with prices starting from £1.
On the brand’s Instagram page it said: “We are super excited to announce [the] launch of @primark.beauty’s first skincare range registered with The Vegan Society.”
Meanwhile, The Vegan Society announced on its Facebook page: “Affordable high street fashion retailer Primark has just launched a vegan skincare range, ‘PS… Naturals’ - their first range to be registered with The Vegan Society’s #VeganTrademark!”
The retailer has been driving its beauty presence in recent months after inking a retail deal with salon and hair care brand Duck & Dry to bring a new beauty experience into stores.
The Duck & Dry Xpress service features blow dry and braiding services in store across its London-based outlets, and it is set to roll out to its largest worldwide store in Birmingham later this year.
It also stocks products from Misslyn and 3ina.
