Speciality chemicals company, Perstorp AB is entering the C&T sector with the launch of a complete palette of intermediates for ingredient manufacturers and cosmetic and personal care product formulators. The company gives its reason for entering the cosmetics field as the sectors rapid expansion, thanks in part to the emergence of new customer groups and rising standards of living around the globe.
“We have very high expectations for this segment,” says David James, Perstorp market development manager. “Our portfolio is very large and attractive and we are confident that we offer the variety and quality of products necessary to become the preferred supplier to the leading brand owners in the cosmetics and personal care products market.”
Perstorp says its portfolio is designed to enhance synthetic fragrances, active ingredients such as vitamins and antioxidants and functional products like UV absorbers, multifunctional emollients, thickeners and polyurethane dispersions. The company is also planning to develop new intermediates with potential C&T applications.
The company will visit in-cosmetics in Paris (17-19 April) and will exhibit at Chemspec Europe in Amsterdam (27-28 June).
